Movie Works
Colin Farrell has appeared in over 15 different movies so far in his short career, including Tigerland, American Outlaws, Hart's War, Minority Report, Phone Booth, Daredevil, S.W.A.T., Alexander and Miami Vice just to named a few.
Personal Life
In July of 2001, Colin Farrell married English actress Amelia Warner, however the marriage did not last and the couple filed for divorce that November. In 2003, Farrell had a son, James, with model Kim Bordenave. Farrell is known for his reportedly heavy drinking, chain smoking and vulgar language.
Controversial Tape
In July 2005, Colin Farrell filed suit against his ex-girlfriend Nicole Narain and David Hans Schmidt, over the rights to the controversial tape made by Farrell and Narain while they were together in 2003. In January 2006, the tape surfaced on the internet on a website, DirtyColin.com, which was shut down quickly, however not before the tape made its way to various file-sharing networks. DirtyColin.com and other sites that hosted the movie have since been added as defendants in the lawsuit.
Career Life
In 2004, Colin Farrell appeared in several films that received only a limited theatrical release, including Intermission and A Home at the End of the World, both of which received some positive reviews. According to press reports, audiences at a test screening of the latter film were deeply disturbed (with audible gasps) by the visual showing Farrell's massive erect penis swaying in a brief frontal nude scene of Farrell, during which he walked naked down a hallway. The film's producers claimed to have deleted this scene due to the threat that it might distract viewers from the real content of the film. The removed clip was later leaked to the Internet.
Colin Farrell appeared in the title role of 2004's Alexander, which was considered a financial and critical disaster. The movie is marked by frequent kisses between men and of Colin himself kissing and touching other men randomly. Farrell's performance as the bisexual Alexander the Great was heavily criticized, with particular attention given to his peroxided hair and undisguised Irish accent. (It was reported that other actors in the film adopted a brogue in order to make his less obvious.) He also appeared as a bisexual character in A Home at the End of the World. He has credited his openly gay brother, Eamon Farrell, Jr., as inspiring him and teaching him about "love and understanding." ~ wiki
